Yo-YoMax12 demonstrates a quick Christmas cards craft – how to turn them into little gift boxes. This is a great way of reusing your old Christmas cards and an eco-friendly way to wrap small gifts.
You can make the bottom box smaller than the top without cutting the bottom piece of card. When you are folding the top section, don’t fold it all the way to the X, this will make the top box a little bigger than the bottom.
The materials and equipment that you’ll need to make your Christmas card gift boxes are shown below.
- Old Christmas cards
- Sticky tape or glue
Did You Know?
Royal Mail delivers around 150 million cards and packets during the pre-Christmas period. It is estimated that up to 1 billion Christmas cards (17 for every man, woman and child) could end up afterwards in bins across the UK. If all the Christmas cards were laid end to end they would span from London to Sydney and back more than five times!
