#AuntyFashionista invites you to “Show us yer Piles”… of clothes that need TLC.
Gather for a social and creative Wednesday evening, make time for you and those clothes you just can’t bear to part with. Experienced upcyclers will be there to support you as we bond over a cuppa (BYOB if you prefer a different tipple!) and our em… piles.
We all have them, they’re hidden away in a pile of ‘to do later’. We love them but they’re just not quite right. The forgotten clothes that remind us we don’t have enough time…
Our clothes projects that could do with a bit of tlc. They will be fab if only they were taken in, out or up; zip fixed, hem shorter/longer or that rip patched. What about those favourites that can’t be parted with?
Can they be make into something new? Refashioned? Then this is the place for you! Bring along some of your sewing and mending pile for fun refashioning. Make your own style. Every second Wednesday 7-9.30 pm in Studio 6.17 @ St Margaret’s House.
We can show you how to mend holes in lots of inventive ways, sew on buttons, replace zips, and learn some fun camouflage skills to cover up stains on your favourite clothes. How to nip, tuck and take up! How to fix your jewellery and accessories too.
This is a social evening where you can get support and advice on your fashion projects and accessories. Create your own style and wear your repairs with pride!
