Join us for the Eco Jewellery Making class, a creative exploration using the contrasting mediums of soft textile, rubbery inner tubes and metal and how they can translate into new forms. This is a fun creative and experimental jewellery making class!
You’ll be guided and encouraged to interpret your own contemporary wearable pieces such as necklaces, wrist cuffs, bracelets and earrings. Mixing texture, form, colour and pattern using various cutting techniques, knot work, inking, beading, yarn making and pattern development.
Small hand tools are used for metal work and cutting. All materials are provided and are post-consumer waste (cleaned) and new findings. Please bring any particular t-shirts and old/broken jewellery you would like to incorporate into your pieces.
Refreshments, materials and equipment will be provided during the workshop. Spaces are limited and advance booking is essential to secure your place, bookings can be made via PayPal account or card payment.
