We have a quick Halloween upcycle – make Mummy Lanterns for use with LED tea lights! Courtesy of Rachel Sarnoff and her daughter, Chloe.
This is such a cute Halloween décor idea and really easy to do.
Unfortunately, they don’t film the whole process. However, all you need to do is glue the bandages onto the jar, stick on the googly eyes and then flip the jars over to cover the LED tea lights… simple enough!
The materials and equipment that you’ll need to make your upcycled mummy lanterns are shown below.
- Clean glass jars
- Bandages / gauze
- PVA glue / craft glue / mod podge
- Googly eyes
- LED tea lights
- Small paint brush or foam applicator
Did You Know?
It can take anywhere from 4,000 – 1 million years for a glass bottle to decompose in the environment!
