Dave Hax demonstrates how to make an upcycled pop pop boat (or put put boat) out of an old juice carton in this video.
I love this project, it’s such a cool idea and would be great fun to make with the kids. Imagine how excited they (and let’s face it… you) would be when the boat starts moving as a result of the simple little boiler – genius!
The materials and equipment that you’ll need to make your upcycled boat are shown below.
- Aluminium drinks can
- Juice carton
- 2 straws
- Blu-tack or epoxy glue
- Sticky tape
- T-light candle
- Waterproof acrylic paint (optional)
- A bowl with water
- Paint brush (optional)
Did You Know?
It can take anywhere from 80 – 200 years for an aluminium drinks can to decompose in the environment.
