How To Upcycle A Tin Can Into A Candle Holder

Isadigue demonstrates how to upcycle a tin can into a candle holder in this upcycling video.  They look amazing but rather tricky to do as there is a lot of cutting and shaping required.

You could always go with a simplified design and stop after the first stage of cutting out all the vertical strips, I thought that looked quite cool too.  I’d love to see what they look like spray painted in some bright and funky colours!

Please note, there is no vocal or written commentary on this video but it’s fairly easy to follow along with.

The materials and equipment that you will need to upcycle your can(s) are shown below.

Materials
  • Tin cans (washed and labels removed)
Equipment
  • Stanley knife / sturdy craft knife
  • Scissors
  • Tin cutters
  • Pliers
Did you know?

Around 12.5 billion steel cans are used annually in the UK, approx 600 cans on average per household!
