How to Upcycle Magazines Into Envelopes & Bows

Lorrynetta54 demonstrates how to upcycle magazines into envelopes and bows in this easy to follow upcycling project. This is a great way to make your cards and gifts stand out.

She also has an idea for sprucing up some pencils too, with…. you guessed it…. magazines!

You can add double sided sticky tape to the envelopes to seal them, some brands of the tape come with a backing paper.  So you could cut and apply this to the envelopes and only remove the backing paper once you need to use the envelope.

The materials and equipment that you will need to make your upcycled envelopes and bows are shown below.

Materials
  • Old magazines
  • Glue stick
  • Pencil
  • Double-sided tape (optional)
Equipment
  • Ruler
  • Craft knife
  • Self healing mat / or something to protect your surface e.g. a piece of  thick cardboard
