Thalita Makes shows us how to upcycle zips into bracelets in this video. These look so cool and it wouldn’t take you long to make your own personalised bracelet.
There are no vocals on this video but you can clearly see how Thalita made her upcycled bracelets and she’s provided on screen guidance notes.
This is a great way to reuse any old zips and embellishments that you have lying around e.g. broken /unloved jewellery, buttons, ribbons, chains etc. Zips can’t be recycled so lets start reusing or upcycling them. Make sure you measure up the zipper to ensure that it’ll fit your wrist before sewing!
Remember you can also dye your spare zips if you’re not keen on the current colour.
The materials and equipment that you’ll need to make your upcycled zipper bracelet are shown below.
- Embellishments – studs / chain
- Pen (to push down the back of the studs)
