Sarah Bush demonstrates how to upcycle a ceramic vase with rice paper in this video tutorial. This is a great way to give a new lease of life to a plain or unattractive vase.
It’s especially handy if you want to change your colour scheme and don’t want to spend a fortune on new accessories! The materials and equipment that you will need to revamp your vase are shown below.
- Ceramic vase
- Thin decorative rice or handmade paper
- White PVA craft glue / mod podge
- Water based polyurethane (for the final coat)
- Small brush / foam brush
- Razor blade / craft knife (to trim the paper from the top of the vase)
