Hollywood Haunter shows us how to make a vinegar and steel wool wood stain solution. The stain will continue to decompose and change colour the longer that you leave it, you can also further dilute the solution if you want to make it lighter.
Please note, this solution does not work too well with pine woods. Make sure that you test your solution on a scrap piece of wood before using it on your project.
The materials and equipment that you’ll need to make your vinegar and steel wool wood stain solution are shown below.
- Vinegar (use a cleaning vinegar if possible as it’s a stronger solution)
- Steel wool
- Plastic container with a lid
- Safety glasses
